Work on Production Lines filling in areas where machines are not present. Examples would be as follows; Feeding empty containers into soil filling machines, planting on conveyors, placing hangers on baskets, loading product on production carts and unloading product from carts onto concrete floors, consolidate or move product from one area to another in the greenhouses and hang baskets from floor to cables. Labor is repetitive and physical at times. Additional duties may be assigned by management relating to the function of producing/shipping plants.

Garden Center Merchandiser Description:

Duties:

Seasonal employee that will merchandise product in Walmart stores that Catoctin services in Maryland and Delaware. An ideal candidate will have plant knowledge and merchandising experience, but these are not requirements. The candidate must be able to work independently and on teams, be equal to the physical demands of the position, work in all types of weather, meet and/or exceed directives and goals as outlined by the Regional Manager.

Essential Functions

• Display and maintain live plant product in large garden center
• Assist other merchandiser(s) and store personnel with displays, watering, signing, etc.
• Sign and merchandise all live goods
• Communicate with supervisor in a timely manner
• Able to walk, stand, reach, lift and move weight up to 30 lbs., and maneuver large rolling plant carts over significant distances
• Must be able to work on weekends
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Interact with store personnel and customers in a professional manner
• Positive attitude
• Reliable transportation
• Smart phone with ability to download required apps
• Clock in and out using smartphone approved timekeeping software apps.

We are a wholesale greenhouse in Keymar MD. Our facility has many machines and working parts that need to be on a regular maintenance schedule. We are looking to add to our maintenance team in order to help stay on top of all repair and maintenance issues.

• Irrigation of crops with proper techniques and timings.
• Ensure that all critical cultural tasks are completed on time.
• IPM scouting for pests and disease.
• Pest and disease control applications – chemical and biological controls.
• Maintain records of all chemical applications crop movements in area.
• Ensure that growing areas are clean and sanitized prior to use.
